The Watcher, Bait, Urban Legends: Final Cut, Almost Famous, Bring It On.

by George Shaw

The Watcher

FBI agent Joel Campbell has gone into hiding. Traumatized and beaten down after years of pursuing psychotic killers in Los Angeles, he is trying to carve a new, less stressful, life for himself in Chicago. But his guilty past follows him. He has only been in Chicago for a few months when there is a rash of gruesome murders, all of which follow a sickeningly familiar pattern: They are undoubtedly the work of one man - David Allen Griffin. The cunning and tormenting Griffin prodded and eluded Campbell for years in Los Angeles. And now he has pursued his tracker to Chicago. For Griffin, the vicious, merciless killing of lonely young women has merely become a pretext for a sadistic game of cat and mouse game between himself and Campbell. Before each murder he sends the FBI agent a photograph of his intended victim and dares him to find her before he strikes again.
Starring Keanu Reeves, James Spader, Marisa Tomei, Robert Cicchini, Chris Ellis. Directed Joe Charbanic.

Bait

BaitWhen the Federal Gold Reserve is broken into by a criminal mastermind, the chief investigator uses human "bait" to lure him out into the open.
Starring Jamie Foxx, David Paymer, Kris Kristofferson, Kimberly Elise, Doug Hutchison. Directed Antoine Fuqua.

Urban Legends: Final Cut

Urban Legends: Final CutDuring a contest to determine the best thesis film, student filmmakers at Alpine University are having an unusually hard time of it because someone is killing crew members. Among the student competitors are the son of a famous film mogul and Amy, whose thesis film is about the contemporary tall tales known as urban legends and who must unmask the killer before she too becomes an urban legend.
Starring Jennifer Morrison, Mathew Davis, Matthew Davis, Joseph Lawrence, Loretta Devine. Directed John Ottman, John Ottman.

Almost Famous

Almost FamousSixteen-year-old avid rock fan William lands an assignment from Rolling Stone to accompany a fledgling band from Michigan called Stillwater on their first tour. As he becomes more involved with the band members, he loses his objectivity and is soon entangled in the infamous 70's rock scene.
Starring Billy Crudup, Frances McDormand, Kate Hudson, Zooey Deschanel, Bijou Phillips. Directed Cameron Crowe.

Bring It On

Bring It OnTorrance Shipman is a typical all-American high school girl. Since being been named captain of her school's championship-winning cheerleading squad, the San Diego Toros, she's on top of the world. She's determined that nothing-not even her homework, her nagging parents or her perfect college boyfriend-get in the way of leading her squad to its sixth consecutive national title. But the Toro's have some stiff competition this time out from the Clovers, an inner-city, hip-hop squad from Los Angeles. When Torrance learns that her predecessor has been stealing cheer routines for years from the rival squad, she realizes that the Clovers and their captain Isis are looking to even the score and that the Toro's are in big trouble. Things get even worse when Torrance finds herself falling for Cliff, an outsider from school with whom she normally would never associate, and with the national championships only a few weeks away, the pressure is on.
Starring Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Bradford, Gabrielle Union, Eliza Dushku, Huntley Ritter. Directed Peyton Reed.
