     Even with the use of ab-roller many of you used to get neck and lower back pains when doing crunches. This month I would like to help you feel the burn immediately without pains and to show you how to get a six pack for your abdominals.

     A great but difficult way to do crunches is the following. First of all make sure you are not using your neck and head to lift your body. After you've lain down place your hands on your chest and focus on a spot on the ceiling. Keep your head and eyes looking at that spot with your neck completely straight the entire time you do the crunch. Also, remember that crunches are just small movements, you do not have to sit up all the way for them to be effective.

     The ab-roller is another easy way to do crunches but only when you've learned to use it correctly. The secret is to put only the very top of your head on the head-rest of the ab-roller and your neck never hurts afterwards. Remember that the correct form in performing abdominal exercise is very important.

     The truth is that you already have the six pack for your abdominals, you just need to combine three items to make them standout. In addition to doing a lot of crunches with proper form, lowering the fat in your diet and doing aerobics are also very important.

     Lowering the fat in your diet will help your muscles stand out. Fats come in two different forms saturated and unsaturated. Saturated fats are solid at room temperature (butter, dripping, lard) and generally come from animals. Unsaturated fats are liquid or semi solid at room temperature (olive oil, soya bean oil) and are predominantly found in plant products. Fats should be used only sparingly, especially the saturated forms. So try to avoid fats even if the good taste of your meal could be lost.

     Before doing crunches 10-20 minutes (or even more) of aerobics are necessary. Your muscles will respond better, so the result will be better. For some of you the fat is really not the problem. Excess calories is the number one reason for gaining weight or keeping your abdominals hidden. Doing aerobics could help you burn those calories too.

     So to get great abdominals, do the aforementioned things and you'll get them. Just work on these things and you'll be ready for the beach.
